Selecting the best educational environment for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent. We invite you to review the Admissions Process below for freshmen. The incoming 9th-grade application for the 2025-2026 school is available now!
Once your application has been processed (please allow 1-2 business days), you will receive an email letting you know an admissions checklist has been assigned to you within your BGHS account under the Admissions Progress tab and you are now able to begin uploading your student’s documents.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit the required materials to the admissions checklist.
BIRTH CERTIFICATE

If your child has been baptized/if your child has been baptized and made their first Holy Communion, please upload the certificate(s). If uploading multiple documents, please scan and save them as one document, then upload.
GRADES
Copy of 6th Grade Report Card

RECOMMENDATION FORMS
After October 23, BGHS-provided recommendation email forms will be released within the admissions checklist. You will need to input the name and email address of the teachers/counselor who needs to complete the form. Once the confidential form is completed by the teachers/counselor, it is automatically returned to the Admissions Office and you will receive a notification. We require the completion of two BGHS-provided recommendation forms:
Counselor / Homeroom Teacher Recommendation Form
Math Teacher Recommendation Form
If applying to the Learning Center, an additional recommendation form will be required within the admissions checklist for completion.
Partner School Applicants must have a completed checklist byNovember 13, 2024 (and registered to take the HSPT on 12/7/24), to be considered for an early admissions decision. For a list of our partner schools click here.
Non-Partner School Applicants must have a completed checklist by January 10, 2025, to be considered part of the first pool of applicants.

In-person campus tours are a great way for families to learn more about Bishop Gorman High School and see our beautiful campus. Our school’s environment and energy are best displayed during school hours where you can see our students focused and engaged learning in our classrooms. Tours typically last 90 minutes. To join us for a tour, complete an inquiry formand allow 1-2 business days to process your form. After, you canlog in to your BGHS account and register for a future tour date. Space is limited to allow a personal experience for our families.
For our younger future Gaels, we look forward to seeing you at Open House on Sunday, November 3, 2024, which is the best way to see the campus and all that it has to offer.
PREVIEW DAY
Preview Day will provide prospective students with an immersive experience where they will learn about high school at Bishop Gorman, both in and out of the classroom. The day will include mini-courses, lunch with student ambassadors, and spirited activities.
After an application has been submitted, you will be able to register for a Preview Day within your admissions checklist.
During your student's Preview Day, a campus tour for parents/guardians will be offered from 8:45-10:15 AM. Just come as you are! Once the students are dismissed to begin their Preview Day, the campus tour will begin.
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required of all incoming 9th graders for admission to Bishop Gorman High School. We will hold testing on the following dates here at Bishop Gorman High School.
Check-in begins at 8 AM and testing will be completed by 12:30 PM.
The HSPT is administered by Scholastic Testing Services. There are 5 sections: Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, Math, and Language. In addition, there will be an Essay section. Testers should expect the testing to last 3-4 hours.
If you live outside of the Las Vegas area and are making arrangements to take the High School Placement Test elsewhere please contact our Admissions Office at admissions@bishopgorman.org.

We offer need-based tuition assistance. Tuition Assistance applications for the 2025-2026 school year will be available on November 1, 2024. Tuition Assistance applications received by February 7, 2025, will receive award notification before registration week (in March). Families can apply for Tuition Assistance at any point during the year, but only those who complete their applications by February will be notified before registration week.
Decision letters are sent to applicants with completed admissions files that include grades for 6th, 7th, and 8th, recommendation forms, and High School Placement Test scores.
Partner school applicants with completed admissions files will receive an early admissions decision by Friday, December 20, 2024.
Non-partner school applicants with completed admissions files will receive an admissions decision by mid-February.
Bishop Gorman’s Learning Center is a service that is available to students formally diagnosed with a learning difference.
