Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry coordinates activities to help Bishop Gorman “teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ” and "create a community where service is valued and celebrated" (BGHS Mission Statement). Campus Ministry is responsible for the prayer life of the school, including monthly Masses, regular Penance Services, daily prayer, and special prayer events. In addition, Campus Ministry sponsors retreats, such as Kairos (Juniors and Seniors) and Quest (Freshmen and Sophomores). Campus Ministry is also responsible for the implementation of Bishop Gorman’s Christian Service requirements.

Please note that neither the Department of Theology and Campus Ministry nor Bishop Gorman Catholic High School provides sacramental preparation. All sacramental preparation programs are conducted through our local parishes. For a list of parishes in the diocese, please see this link.

All of the Campus Ministry activities involve direct student leadership and active participation. Any student wishing to participate or help with the planning of Campus Ministry activities is encouraged to visit us in our office located inside the Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Chapel.

Faculty and Staff are also involved in the programs of Campus Ministry. They serve as chaperones, speakers, mentors, and leaders in the areas of liturgy, retreats, and service.
