The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required of all incoming 9th graders for admission to Bishop Gorman High School. We will hold testing on the following dates here at Bishop Gorman High School.
Check-in begins at 8 am and testing will be completed by 12:30 pm. Applicants who test on one of the aforementioned dates are considered part of our first pool of applicants.
The HSPT is administered by Scholastic Testing Services. There are 5 sections: Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, Math, and Language. In addition, there will be an Essay section. Testers should expect the testing to last 3-4 hours.
If you live outside of the Las Vegas area and are making arrangements to take the High School Placement Test elsewhere please contact our Admissions Office at admissions@bishopgorman.org

Decision letters are sent to applicants with completed admissions files that include grades for 6th, 7th, and 8th, recommendation forms, and High School Placement Test scores.
Partner school applicants with completed admissions files will receive an early admissions decision by Friday, December 20, 2024.
Non-partner school applicants with completed admissions files will receive an admissions decision by mid-February.
Transfer Applicants
All transfer student acceptance is based on space availability. Should there be space, decision letters are sent to applicants with completed admissions files that include high school transcripts, in-progress grades, and the recommendation form.
High School Placement Test scores are used to help determine acceptance, in addition to placing students in their classes once registering for Bishop Gorman classes.
Admission decisions are based on grades, discipline and attendance reports, recommendations from current teachers and High School Placement Test scores (for incoming 9th grade students).
