The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. All work and ministry at Bishop Gorman is thus bound up with the Eucharist and oriented toward it. “For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ.” In the Eucharist, it is Christ who is encountered and venerated in Sacred Scripture for it is he who speaks when the sacred scriptures are read in the Church. Christ is present in the priest who offers the sacrifice of the Mass. Christ is met in the People of God who pray and praise, “for where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am” (Matt. 18.20). Above all, the whole of Christ is really, truly and substantially present under the appearance of bread and wine, body and blood, soul and divinity.
The Eucharist is at the center of the life of Bishop Gorman, because Christ is the center of the Bishop Gorman Catholic High School.
The Bishop Gorman community celebrates All School Masses monthly. In addition Mass is celebrated daily in the Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Chapel. On First Fridays the Blessed Sacrament is Exposed and Adored in the Chapel through out the school day.
